In some cases, a Snom IP phone may not respond as expected to a REGISTER/401 dialog.

If you're experiencing trouble with registration, try this:

  1. Log in to the web interface for the phone

  2. Under Setup, select Advanced

  3. On the Behavior tab, look for the "Challenge response on phone" radio button

  4. Change this from "On" to "Off"

  5. Select the identity you wish to register, and click Re-Register.

Your phone should now register successfully if your username and password are correct.
